The Almond Tree Practice

TRACY REES

I have always been interested in complementary therapies, how massage and the human touch has a powerful impact on a person's wellbeing and how pure plant essential oils have an effect on the body, mind and spirit.

After working as a secretary in the legal profession for 14½ years, I decided to move to the medical profession as a secretary to learn about the anatomy. I quickly realised how interesting the human body was and found that my secretarial job no longer gave me job satisfaction and I felt I wanted a more fulfilling career helping people. I therefore decided to combine all my interests in complemetary therapies, massage, the anatomy and pure plant essential oils and train in aromatherapy.

I started a dipolma course in aromatherapy in the autumn of 2006 with The Bristol School of Holistic Therapies. The course was very intense with studying holistic massage, the anatomy, aromatherapy massage, aromatics and business studies, but I did it and qualified in May 2008. I have since gone on to train in Hot and Cold Stone Therapy massage and gained a dipolma. I hope to study and learn about further therapies in the future.
